Written Answers. - Investment Company Liquidation.
I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 132 on 14 December 1995 (Official Report, Vol. 459, columns 1889 to 1891). Reference to the case is also made in the Companies Report for the year ended 31 December 1995 (Pn 2808) which was published earlier this month. A full review of all aspects of this matter took place under my direction early in 1995. Following the completion of this review and the taking of legal advice, I determined that no useful purpose would be served by my pursuing the matter further under the company law code. My decision at that time was made with considerable reluctance having regard to the unfortunate circumstances of the case. There have been no developments in the interim which would justify a review of my earlier decision.
