Written Answers. - Proposed Schools Amalgamation.
My Department has approved an amalgamation of the schools from September 1996. A letter confirming the amalgamation was issued to the Very Rev. George McLaughlin PP. A further letter will issue shortly regarding a roll number for the new school and other details.
The question of improvement works to the boys' school building and the provision of temporary accommodation to facilitate the amalgamation is being pursued as a matter of priority.
