147 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application from Bishop Shanahan and Bishop Galvin primary schools, Templeogue, Dublin 6W, for the provision of funding to have a security fence erected around the schools, to include the school building and playing fields; if so, if she has made a decision on these applications; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The schools referred to by the Deputy have applied to my Department for grant-aid towards the cost of a security fence.

My Department requested the Office of Public Works to furnish a report in the matter and it is understood this report will be available shortly.

On receipt of this report, a decision will be taken on the application in the light of other priority projects and available financial resources.
