Ceist:

138 Miss Quill asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve an extension of the Old Whitechurch and Mallow Road drainage scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18067/96]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 135, 136, 137 and 138 together.

A preliminary report in respect of an extension to the Old Whitechurch and Mallow Road drainage scheme, and contract documents for the other three projects, have been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve these schemes.
