50 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach the resources available to him and the Minister of State(s) at his Department for running ministerial and constituency offices in terms of support services, finance and personnel, established and non-established, programme managers and special advisers; if he will give a breakdown in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The personnel working in my private office and constituency office, and in the offices of the Ministers of State at my Department are detailed in the following schedule. All of the civil servants listed are established officers. In addition to the staff resources, the private offices and constituency offices have use of all other resources available to the Department. These include office accommodation, equipment and supplies, office maintenance, postal and telecommunications services and other administration services.

The cost of salaries and incidental expenses of all programme managers, special advisers and other non-established staff attached to my office and the offices of the Ministers of State at the Department for 1994, 1995 and 1996 is contained in following schedule. Incidental expenses relate to sums recouped to the staff in respect of travel, subsistence and entertainment costs incurred by them in carrying out their official duties.
In addition, an economist is employed in the economic and social division of my Department on a non-established contract basis.
