The information requested is not available. Statistics for 1996 will be compiled early in 1997 when the annual returns are submitted by local authorities. The statistics will be published in due course in the Environment Bulletin, copies of which will be available in the Oireachtas Library.
During 1995, a total of 172,833 ordinary dog licences and 199 general dog licences were issued by local authorities. More detailed information will be published in the November issue of the Environment Bulletin, a copy of which will be available in the Oireachtas Library.
