Vol. 470 No. 5

Written Answers. - Kilmacow (Kilkenny) Sewerage Scheme.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

83 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment if he will reply in detail to Parliamentary Question No. 110 of 16 October 1996, which asked the further progress, if any, which has been made on the provision of a sewerage scheme at Kilmacow, County Kilkenny which relates in no way to Parliamentary Question No. 152 of 30 January 1996. [19510/96]

My reply to Question No. 152 of 30 January 1996 indicated that a revised preliminary report for this scheme had been submitted to my Department but that, given the level of existing demands under the water and sewerage programme, I could not say when it may be possible to approve it. The replies to Questions Nos. 158 of 25 June 1996 and 110 of 16 October 1996, which related to the same scheme, stated that the position had not changed since the January reply. I am still not in a position to say when it may be possible to advance the scheme.
