No decision has yet been taken regarding headquarters for the education boards. The White Paper on Education Charting Our Education Future, sets out the framework for the establishment of ten education boards. The rationale for the education boards includes the need for greater awareness and sensitivity to the needs of local and regional communities in order to improve the quality of all educational services. The headquarters of the education boards will be located so as to best meet these needs.
