166 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Education the funds which were available to her for distribution under the capital programme/ major facilities scheme; the name and location of each of the successful applicants; and the amount allotted to each applicant. [20222/96]

A list of the successful applicants under the major facilities scheme in 1996 has been provided in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 101 answered on Thursday, 31 October 1996.

In 1996 my Department increased the overall value of the major sports facilities scheme by £4.565 million, which included £1.4 million brought forward from 1995. A balance of £814,000 remains to be allocated.
