172 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the special academic and recreational needs of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; when a personal assistant for this person will be appointed in order that she will receive the best possible academic and recreational facilities available; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is currently considering a proposal for the appointment of a child care assistant to cater for the needs of the pupil in question. A decision on this matter will be conveyed to the authorities of the school as soon as possible.
