336 Mr. S. Kenny asked the Minister for Social Welfare when he will make a decision on an application by Moatview-Fairfield Development Association, Dublin 17, for a grant to purchase a minibus for community use under the scheme for grants to voluntary bodies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21851/96]
Under the 1996 scheme for grants to voluntary organisations, Moatview-Fairfield Development Association applied for a grant of £20,000 towards the purchase of a minibus, which would be used for transporting children and members of youth groups.
A large number of applications has been received under the scheme and are being processed at present in the regional offices. As the Deputy will appreciate it has taken some time to process all the applications. My Department will be in touch with Moatview-Fairfield Development Association as soon as possible to let them know the outcome of their application.
