Vol. 471 No. 7

Written Answers. - Motor Insurance.

Ned O'Keeffe

Ceist:

362 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork who has failed to secure a motor insurance policy for his motor vehicle; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this person has to travel to his place of work and his failure to secure motor insurance is causing great difficulties for him. [22178/96]

I understand that my colleague, Deputy Pat Rabbitte, Minister of State with responsibility for commerce, science and technology, informed the Deputy in correspondence dated 14 November 1996, that the person concerned has been offered motor insurance at a premium regarded by the insurer to be commensurate with the particular risk involved.
