Ceist:428 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Defence if it is his policy to replace civilian employees at the naval base, Haulbowline, by serving members of the naval services who are members of the special support groups. [22249/96]
Written Answers. - Naval Base Employees.
A special study of the Naval Service is currently ongoing as part of the Defence Forces Review Implementation Plan, copies of which were previously issued to all Deputies. This study includes an examination of the work of civilian employees.
When I have received and considered the results of the study, including any recommendations concerning civilian employees at the naval base, I will decide if any modifications or adjustments are required to existing policy.
