Ceist:

115 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment if an application has been received in his Department from Donegal County Council for funding towards the lower Knockastoller group water scheme; and when the scheme will be approved. [22860/96]

The group's application is being considered in the context of the allocation of grants for group water schemes for 1997. I intend to make an announcement on the allocations shortly.

Ceist:

116 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment the current position in relation to the proposed sewerage scheme for Donegal town, County Donegal. [22861/96]

As indicated in the reply to Question No. 94 of 14 February 1996, an application for the Donegal Bay Wastewater Management Scheme, which includes the Donegal town sewerage scheme has been submitted to the European Commission for Cohesion Fund assistance. Pending the Commission's decision, and having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance this scheme.

Ceist:

117 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment the current position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme for Gweedore, County Donegal; the current stage of planning of the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22862/96]

The Gweedore sewerage scheme has been included in an application submitted to the European Commission for Cohesion Fund assistance for the Gaeltacht area. To date, no decision has been received. Pending the Commission's decision, and having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance this scheme which is at preliminary report stage.
