The total capital provision in 1996 for the water and sewerage programme is just under £122 million, including £6 million for group water and sewerage schemes.
My Department makes payments to local authorities on foot of certified expenditure on approved water and sewerage schemes. Details of payments to the end of November 1996, totalling £91.9 million, are set out in the following table.
