Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Deasy — the need to provide sanction for school transport for children with special needs from County Waterford to enable them to avail of the special facilities at the Presentation primary school, Clonmel, County Tipperary; (2) Deputy Flaherty — the need for a physical education facility or school gymnasium in St. Michael's secondary school, Finglas, Dublin 11; (3) Deputy O'Rourke — the need for the Minister for Education to intervene in the dispute affecting County Westmeath vocational education committee which is causing severe financial hardship to third level students and their families; (4) Deputy Cullen — the current status of the proposal by Esat Digifone to have the Garda Síochána telecommunications mast network jointly developed. (5) Deputy Dempsey — the present position in relation to the proposed deal between a mobile telephone company and the Garda Síochána particularly in view of alleged difficulties regarding the planning guidelines for telecommunications antennae and support structures; (6) Deputy Hugh Byrne — the replies by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to parliamentary questions on issues of serious concern including quantities of output by meat and bonemeal plants, the building of a facility to deal with slaughterhouse wastes, the proposals for reform of the headage payments system and the arrangements for the transport of live animals; (7) Deputy Sean Ryan — the future of the vegetable industry in view of the current levels of importation; (8) Deputy Callely — the need to approve the necessary funding for building works in Ard Scoil Rís, Dublin 3.

The matters raised by Deputies Flaherty, O'Rourkey, Dempsey and Byrne have been selected for discussion.
