Ceist:99 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid her REP scheme premium in view of the fact that she urgently needs this funding. [24738/96]

Under the REP scheme applications are subject to a random 5 per cent prepayment check. This is a detailed assessment of all aspects of the plan and includes an on farm inspection.
The applicant has been selected for such a check, which will be carried out in the near future. In the event of a satisfactory outcome, payment will issue as soon as possible thereafter.
