62 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if his Department will pay compensation due to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim in respect of lands acquired as part of the Shannon/Erne scheme. [24800/96]

A compensation payment was made to the claimant in August 1993 in respect of the compulsory acquisition of certain lands but I understand that the waterways service of my Department has not yet received a claim in respect of other lands.
