354 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Education when her Department will take full administrative responsibility for senior traveller training centres in accordance with the recommendations by the Government task force on the travelling community in July 1995; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is engaged in discussions with the Department of Enterprise and Employment with a view to finalising arrangements for a transfer of entire responsibility for senior traveller training centres to the Minister for Education. It is hoped that these arrangements can be finalised in time to effect a transfer at the earliest possible date.
