Ceist:148 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Justice if she will request the Land Registry to expedite the registration of a folio for a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [2508/97]
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the correct dealing number in this case is W5950/95, and refers to an application under section 49 (i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession) of the Registration of Title Act, 1964 which was lodged on 26 July 1995. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49 take some time to process and it is not possible to estimate a completion time at this stage.
However, I can confirm that the application has been expedited by the Land Registry.
