128 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received a recommendation from consultants (details supplied) regarding the best route for the Border crossing of the proposed Dundalk-Newry motorway link; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2782/97]

The consultancy study of options in relation to the Dundalk-Newry route is currently being finalised but a final report has not yet been received.
