I propose to take Questions Nos. 233 and 234 together.
I am assuming that the Deputy's questions relate to the industrial development agencies and the county enterprise boards which operate under the aegis of my Department.
The total number of jobs created by these bodies in Cork city and county in 1996 was 2,862.
There are no job loss figures available for the Cork county enterprise boards but Forbairt and IDA Ireland record a total of 1,219 job losses for the same year.
It would not be appropriate to name the individual companies where the gains and losses occurred.
