145 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the reduction in hours being experienced by part-time lecturers in regional colleges and other third-level institutes in view of the implementation of the Worker Protection (Regular Part-time Employees) Act, 1991; and if so, if this was her intention. The arrangement of contracts of employment for part-time staff in third level institutions, including hours of work and compliance with relevant employment legislation, is a matter for the authorities of each institution.
