Ceist:

121 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Justice the additional costs, if any, which have been incurred by the Exchequer in terms of Garda overtime for traffic regulation and illegal parking since the introduction of Sunday trading. [9288/97]

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Owen):

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the information sought by the Deputy is not readily available from Garda records and that to obtain same would involve an inordinate expenditure of Garda time which could not be justified.
