Ceist:298 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí currently serving the Kilmainham District in Dublin 8 and the number serving in 1996. [13808/97]
Written Answers. - Garda Deployment.
The detailed deployment of Garda personnel to individual areas is a matter for the Garda authorities. They have informed me that Kilmainham is a sub-district in the Kevin Street Garda District, DMA "A" District. The current strength of the Kevin Street District is 194 gardaí, all ranks. The strength on 31 December 1996 was 200 gardaí, all ranks.
