Written Answers. - Holiday Pay.
The teacher to whom the Deputy refers was employed as a temporary teacher from 2 October 1996 to the end of the current school year. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that if the teacher in question secures a temporary contract for the 1997-8 school year, or secures permanent employment from 1 September 1997, she will receive summer holiday pay retrospectively in September 1997.
