48 Mr. Noonan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise and Employment the input, if any, she will be making into the proposed overhaul of the planning laws to ensure that the needs of enterprise development are taken into account. [13729/97]

The planning timescale is a critical issue for mobile high technology international investment and the development of indigenous industry. In the context of the commitment in the programme for Government, I will be submitting my views to the Minister for the Environment.
