529 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of Gardaí of all ranks and civilian staff currently stationed at Ballymun, Whitehall, Santry, Mountjoy and Finglas garda stations; the equivalent figures for March 1992; the number on normal rostered duties and special duties; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In the interest of crime prevention and security in general, the Garda authorities are not happy to release the detailed information on Garda personnel as sought in the question, and I am in agreement with them. However, the following details can be supplied for the Garda Districts concerned:

* With the creation of the new DMA West Division, Blanchardstown Garda Station became the district headquarters for Finglas and Cabra Garda stations.
The Garda authorities report that the three relief system is in operation at each of the Garda stations mentioned in the question. Members perform a variety of tasks which encompass both regular duties, detective duties and community policing duties.
