92 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made for an immediate replacement in the Waterford office in order that applications under the REP scheme will be speedily dealt with in view of the fact that an official employed by his Department has been on sick leave since April 1997. My Department is not aware of any officer from the Waterford office or any officer dealing with Waterford applications under the REP scheme being absent on protracted sick leave.
