250 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Garda at Santry, Dublin 9 are aware of the problem of speeding traffic at a location (details supplied) in Dublin 9; if this location will be given special attention in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that there is no evidence of a speeding problem in the location referred to by the Deputy. Ramps are in place in the location which make it difficult for motorists to drive at excessive speeds.
I have been assured by the the Garda authorities that they are aware of the concerns of the residents in this regard. They are monitoring the traffic in the area and will continue to do so.
