Ceist:

121 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the amount the estimated milk deliveries were in excess of the national quota for the period ending 31 October 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19429/97]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh):

At the end of October 1997, milk deliveries exceeded our national quota when calculated over the same period by 1.7 per cent or 15 million gallons. This figure increases to 18 million gallons when adjusted to take account of excess butterfat content.
