Contract documents for the refurbishment of this pool, at a current estimated cost of £1.75 million, were submitted to my Department in August 1996. Having regard to the high level of demand for swimming pool funding generally, it is not possible to indicate when capital funding will be available for the refurbishment of the Castlebar swimming pool.
