293 Mr. Doherty asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will provide the necessary funding to refurbish and make safe the Roscommon town swimming pool, County Roscommon which is currently closed to the public. [20488/97]
Contract documents for the refurbishment of this pool, at an estimated cost of £1.5 million, were submitted to my Department in October 1996. Having regard to the high level of demand for swimming pool funding generally, it is not possible to indicate when capital funding will be available for the refurbishment of Roscommon town swimming pool.
