144 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will expedite a dealing in the Land Registry Office for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the delay is causing hardship. [20849/97]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application for first registration which was lodged on 1 October 1997. Queries recently issued to the lodging solicitor and a reply is awaited.
