I am informed by the Garda authorities that, at the beginning of this month, gardaí called to see the person to whom the Deputy refers and spoke to her about difficulties she was encountering. In relation to these difficulties, one youth was arrested and dealt with under the juvenile liaison scheme. Inquiries are continuing to establish the names and addresses of the other youths involved in order that they may be dealt with appropriately. The gardaí are in contact with the person referred to by the Deputy and I am assured that the matter is receiving appropriate attention.
