79 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will give details of the changes, if any, she has made in allocations under the community development incentive scheme; and the new allocations, if any, she has made in this regard. [20764/97]
To date I have made no alterations to the grants offered in principle, to project promoters under the cultural development incentives scheme, 1994-99. I have not made any new grant offers under the scheme either. I am constantly reviewing progress on all of the projects that have been offered funding, particularly so in the context of a reduction which has been made in the overall CDIS allocation as a result of the mid term review of the entire Operational Programme for Tourism 1994-99, of currency fluctuations since the commencement of the scheme, the ability of promoters to complete projects within the timescale of the Structural Funds and to comply with the conditions laid down under the scheme.
