Vol. 483 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dental Services.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

121 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 is being refused dental treatment and whether it is because the child attends a local all Irish primary school to which her parents pay £250 per year; his views on whether this person is being discriminated against because she makes a payment to a gael scoil; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20888/97]

As the provision of dental treatment to eligible persons in Dublin 12 is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Health Board I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as matter of urgency.
