256 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo living in terrible conditions will have works approved and completed under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme for which he applied some time ago. [21133/97]
As the Deputy will be aware, the administration of the special housing aid scheme for older people in the Mayo area is a matter for the Western Health Board.
I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate this case as a matter of urgency and to respond directly to the Deputy with the board's findings.
