70 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the recent meetings, if any, he has attended under the third pillar of the European Union; if so, the agenda of these meetings; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21247/97]

Since coming into office, I have attended one informal Council meeting of Justice and Home Affairs Ministers in Mondorf-les-Bains, Luxembourg, on 9 and 10 October 1997.

As is customary with the informal nature of this type of Council meeting, the agenda was non-specific and discussions ranged broadly across the issues, including follow up to the outcome of the Inter-Governmental Conference on the revision of the treaties, enlargement, and asylum and immigration matters.
