Liam Aylward

145 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made for compensation payment of £41 due to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in respect of one heifer. [20929/97]

The Department has no record of receiving a 1997 agrimonetary compensation application from the person named.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

147 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo received 60 per cent of a grant on £17,000 rather than the 60 per cent on £22,000 for which he applied. [20931/97]

The applicant in this case was paid a grant of £10,650. This represented 60 per cent of the cost of all of the work included in his application in respect of which written approval had issued. Additional work carried out was not approved and therefore is ineligible for grant aid.
