132 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason persons (details supplied) in County Leitrim have not received an extension to their temporary residence permit which they have applied for some months ago. [21783/97]

The persons in question, who arrived in the State on holiday in August of this year, were given a full extension of their visitor conditions up to 6 November. I understand they are, seeking to reside in the State and this aspect of the matter is being examined.
