73 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Education and Science whether he will sanction the construction of Knocklyon post-primary school, Dublin 16; the funding, if any, he will make available for construction of the school; when construction works will start; and when the school will open. As the Deputy is no doubt aware, my predecessor decided in September 1994 that a post-primary school was not required in the Knocklyon area.
The decision was upheld following a review of the need for a school in January 1996.
I have asked the planning section of my Department for a report in the matter and I am actively reviewing my predecessor's decision not to provide a school.
