75 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction the appointment of an additional teacher for a school (details supplied) in County Mayo which has a high number of students whose parents are of Pakistani and other Asian origins; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has no record of any application for additional staffing from the managerial authorities of the school to which the Deputy refers.

However, I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I have made arrangements for an inspector from my Department to visit the school and to provide a report on the matter.
