114 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the plans, if any, she has approved by Coillte Teoranta to invest in the saw milling industry in Northern Ireland; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22307/97]
My Department has not yet received notification pursuant to the provisions of the mergers and takeovers legislation in relation to the proposed acquisition by Coillte Teoranta of a majority stake in a sawmill group in Northern Ireland which also has interests in the State. Accordingly, the position remains as indicated in my reply to the Deputy's Question No. 14950/97 on 6 November 1997 in this matter.
