95 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of houses which were provided by his Department in 1996 and 1997 by each local authority on a county by county basis; and the number it is hoped to provide in 1998 on a similiar basis. [2759/98]
Details of houses completed and acquired by each local authority in 1996 are published in my Department's Annual Housing Statistics Bulletin in 1996, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
Final outturn figures for 1997 have not yet been received from all authorities but will be included in the 1997 Housing Statistics Bulletin, due to be published in March. It is expected that there were about 3,200 houses completed or purchased by local authorities in 1997.
