Vol. 486 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin Traffic Volume.

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

224 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the estimate of the volume of traffic in Dublin in each of the past five years, using measures available including volumes of traffic entering the city cordon at morning peak periods. [3265/98]

Responsibility for the collection and analysis of data on traffic in Dublin rests primarily with the local authorities in the area, in liaison as appropriate with the Dublin Transportation Office, or in the case of national roads, with the National Roads Authority. Traffic estimates for the years concerned may be obtained from the Dublin Transportation Office.
