Ceist:85 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive her compensation payment under the 1997 weather related crop losses scheme. [3568/98]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 83 and 85 together.
Payments under the scheme of assistance for weather related crop losses in 1997 will commence following detailed examination of individual applications in relation to the scheme criteria and when the necessary clearance is received from the EU Commission which is expected towards the end of March.
