Ceist:138 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress to date on the provision of an extension to a national school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [3727/98]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 134 and 138 together.
The two schools to which the Deputy refers have requested major extensions. Before a decision is made regarding extending and-or refurbishing these schools, it is necessary that local consultation takes place as the optimum course of action for national school provision in the town. I understand this process is ongoing at present and that a number of meetings have taken place.
