Eamon Gilmore
Ceist:277 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the total expenditure incurred by her Department for each of the past five years on flights on Ryanair aircraft. [4935/98]
Vol. 487 No. 6
277 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the total expenditure incurred by her Department for each of the past five years on flights on Ryanair aircraft. [4935/98]
It is not possible to provide precise figures of the expenditures in question, without making a detailed examination of expenditure documentation which would be a major administrative task. However, a preliminary examination suggests that expenditure by my Department over the last five years did not exceed £1,000 in total.
278 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will give a detailed account of the expenditure of £2 million (details supplied) allocated by a former Minister of State; the name, location and amount allocated to each project; the equality of distribution of this fund between Gaeltacht and nonGaeltacht islands; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4960/98]
The following table contains details of allocations from the Islands Development Fund for the years 1996 and 1997 sanctioned by the former Minister of State. Gaeltacht islands are marked with an asterisk. Some of the funding allocated has not yet been disbursed as the projects in question have not yet been completed.
Grants allocated by former Minister of State Donal Carey TD, from Islands Development Fund 1997.
