173 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Finance the arrangements, if any, in place in his Department and in any State agency or body under his control to encourage or enforce the reuse or recycling of paper and, in particular, of envelopes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6170/98]
My Department is fully committed to implementing the provisions of the Green Government Guide which was published in 1996 and which aims to promote the increased use of recycled paper in Government offices and, by extension, in the wider public service. In particular my Department implements a policy of reusing envelopes for internal post.
